Planning permissions for high-quality dementia care home in Westminster

Westminster City Council have unanimously approved Loveday and Co’s proposals to build a high-quality dementia care home, which will provide 44 suites.

The development will provide comfortable spaces and environments that improve the lives of those living with dementia, enriching the well-being of members and their families. This will be a unique dementia care home as it will be specifically designed with the ‘best in class’ care for dementia patients in mind.

Working alongside Amazon Property, EPR Architects and Savills, the project received unanimous support from members of Westminster’s Planning Committee who welcomed the introduction of the care home at Ebury Bridge Road and commended the design.

Concilio provided bespoke, digital consultation and communications for the project which began in early 2020 during the beginning of the pandemic. Our suite of digital engagement tools enabled us to hold a comprehensive engagement and ensure the project was able to remain on its scheduled timeframe.

In total over 100 people visited the consultation website and engaged with the proposals. We also held a number of digital briefings with local stakeholders and elected representatives who were able to input into the process.

Over 2,600 people in Westminster will have dementia by 2030 and the City has the second-lowest number of registered beds for dementia of any borough. We’re delighted this project was approved and welcomed the opportunity to work on a project that will significantly contribute to an important cause.
