Second Public Consultation on Beccles & Worlingham Garden Neighbourhood
Community engagement continues as updated masterplan is shared with local residents
Concilio is currently undertaking a second stage of public consultation on proposals for the Beccles & Worlingham Garden Neighbourhood. The masterplan sets out a vision for a well-connected, sustainable community on the edge of Beccles and Worlingham, providing 1,250 new homes, including 30% affordable housing. It also features a community hub with shops and local amenities, employment space to support the local economy, and land for a new primary school to serve future residents.
Green infrastructure is central to the proposals, with over 25 hectares of public open space planned, including sports pitches, play areas, walking and cycling routes, and community allotments. The development aims to promote sustainable transport, integrating new footpaths and cycleways that connect to surrounding areas, reducing car dependency and improving accessibility.
To ensure the local community is informed and involved, the consultation process has included flyers delivered to local households, updates to the dedicated website, targeted social media campaigns, and an exhibition event where residents had the opportunity to review the plans, ask questions, and provide direct feedback to the project team.

.
The feedback gathered from this consultation will help refine the masterplan to ensure it reflects local priorities and aspirations. Residents who were unable to attend the exhibition can still review the proposals and share their thoughts by visiting bwgn.co.uk.
