Double delight for Derwent at Camden’s Planning Committee

Separate office and residential developments granted planning permission

Camden Council approved two Derwent London applications for the redevelopment of the Network Building (95-100 Tottenham Court Road) and 14-19 Tottenham Mews. The site falls within Camden’s ‘Knowledge Quarter Innovation District’ and this development will be able to contribute to the area’s research eco-system by offering a life-science building.

The consented plans include the Network Building’s redevelopment to provide 17,225sqm of commercial space with 521sqm of modern retail space along Tottenham Court Road. The application was submitted as an outline and two reserved applications to allow for the flexibility of providing an office building or life science building. The linked application at 14-19 Tottenham Mews would redevelop the vacant site to create a six-storey building providing 23 affordable homes and 364 sqm of affordable workspace.

Alongside DP9 as Planning Consultants and Piercy & Co as Architects, Concilio worked on the consultation for the project and held a digital-first consultation whilst lockdown restrictions were still in place. We held webinars, created a consultation website, produced interactive surveys and held briefings with stakeholders (including a socially distanced site visit with ward councillors).
