Concilio was part of the project team that helped to secure planning permission for a leisure scheme promoted by Turnstone Estates at the Northern Gateway, Colchester.

The proposals include a 12-screen cinema, up to seven restaurants including two drive-throughs, a bowling alley, indoor golf centre, climbing wall and a 90-bed hotel. Alongside the broader plans for the Northern Gateway Sports Park, the whole development will benefit from a carbon-reducing District Heat Network, using natural energy to provide heating and hot water for the whole area, and an integral digital network providing ultra-fast broadband to local homes and businesses.

All of the consultation took place using Concilio’s digital Your Say platform and led to large levels of engagement, which was complimented by the Council.

Over 3,000 people visited the consultation website, 11,100 viewed the targeted social media adverts and close to 400 online surveys were completed.
