Westminster City Council’s Planning Committee approved plans for a modern, high-quality shared accommodation concept at 91-92 Dean Street, Soho.

Based on the Japanese POD hostel design, the development will provide accommodation for 725-755 guests within 650-675 sleeping PODS.

This will be complimented by shared facilities such as communal areas, bathrooms, luggage storage and rooftop amenity space.

Concilio provided community and stakeholder support for the project, with activities including:

• Two webinars;
• Briefing with stakeholders;
• Individual meetings with local residents; and
• Online consultation website with interactive surveys

The consultation led to a number of changes, which the Committee mentioned as showing a commitment to listening to the community.
