The Concilio team is delighted to have worked on three schemes that have recieved planning permission over the past week in the City of London.

First Up: Castleforge and GAMUDA’s 75 London Wall (Winchester House)

The approved proposals will see the former Deutsche Bank's HQ transform into a sustainable, best-in-class office space. The project will increase the building's capacity by 40% to 688,000 sqft and also include a new cultural forum for live performances tying in with the City Corporation's Destination City policy.

Secondly: Dominus at 5-10 Great Tower Street

Our City of London team, in collaboration with DP9 Limited, successfully secured planning consent for Dominus to create a 237-room hotel. Impressively, the project retains 100% of the existing building's substructure and 70% of its superstructure and façade.

Shravan Joshi MBE, Chairman of the City of London Corporation’s Planning and Transportation Committee, remarked:

"The City is an iconic location that attracts visitors and tourists from around the globe. We are keen to support developments providing high-quality hotel accommodation, especially those reusing existing buildings, like the proposals for Great Tower Street."

Finally: Mactaggart Family & Partners’The Resident brand hotel Near the Barbican.

The City of London Corporation's Planning Applications Sub-Committee approved proposals at 1-8 Long Lane this Tuesday for a new Resident hotel (whose Covent Garden hotel is the #1 listed hotel in London on Tripadvisor). This boutique hotel will offer 125-130 'apartment style' guest rooms, complemented by a new pocket garden, art installation, and flexible retail space.
