Concilio led political and community engagement for the refurbishment of one of London’s most historic creative sites.
Westminster City Council has unanimously approved plans to refurbish and modernise the Grade II Listed Maida Vale Studios – a major step forward for the future of this iconic site.

The scheme, developed by MVS Partnership, Stiff+Trevillion and the Portman Group, is supported by Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, along with Hans Zimmer and Steven Kofsky. It will sensitively update the building to meet the evolving needs of the music and post-production industries while respecting its significant heritage.

Concilio was pleased to lead on community and stakeholder engagement for the project. From consulting with residents to liaising with key stakeholders, our role focused on meaningful engagement with the local community. We gathered valuable feedback to help shape and evolve the proposals, with the aim of building broad-based support for a scheme that preserves and enhances the site’s creative purpose.

It’s a strong example of how heritage-led regeneration can secure the future of important buildings while continuing to support the creative economy.
