Concilio was appointed by South Cambridgeshire Investment Partnership to undertake the consultation for Land North of Lower Cambourne.

The proposals are for a new environmentally friendly neighbourhood comprising 275 homes (including 40% affordable housing) new open spaces and children’s play areas, a new café, and an enhanced public square. The development will be entirely gas free with air source heat pumps and Net Zero Carbon affordable rented homes.

Concilio developed a hybrid consultation strategy, which included a mix of digital and in-person consultation. As part of this, Concilio created a consultation website with survey and hosted a webinar with the project team and managed an in-person drop-in consultation event outside the South Cambridgeshire District Council offices.

The project team is now developing more detailed plans ahead of submitting a planning application in the Autumn.
