The Concilio football team stepped onto the hallowed ground of the five-a side pitches at Trent Park, Enfield, to take part in a charity tournament organised by Fairview.
Whilst the all-black kit was an inspired idea when ordered, the 30-degree heat meant that whilst we may have looked the part, wilting bodies alas meant we didn’t make it all the way to the final.
However the whole team had a great time, with pizzas and drinks provided afterward acting as a starter for most of the team, who were still at the local curry house pushing midnight!
So on behalf of the Concilio team, a big thank you to Fairview for organising the event which, most importantly, raised over £20,000 for the nearby children’s hospice, Noah’s Ark.
The hospice helps babies, children and young people with life-threatening conditions, and their families, make the most of every day. They are there to enable those they support to enjoy life as children, rather than as patients; as families, not just as carers.
