Southwark Council has approved an application for the redevelopment of the FT Building at One Southwark Bridge Road. This high-profile site lies on London’s Southbank and this scheme will create a new future for this iconic building.

The consented plan will provide a modern, sustainable, high-quality office environment. WPP has put sustainability at the heart of its proposals by choosing to retrofit the existing building and refurbish the internal fabric of the building. As part of the redevelopment, the project team is looking to reanimate the railway arches next to the site, create a pedestrian route from Park Street to the Thames Path and a café at ground floor level.

Concilio worked alongside architects BDG and Squires and Partners, and planning consultants Montagu Evans, to create a robust digital-first consultation, held in October 2020 during Covid-19 restrictions. We created a bespoke consultation website showcasing the vision for the site, built an interactive survey and hosted a number of briefings with political and community stakeholders, held over Teams.
