Working Together to Build the Homes that London Needs
Concilio hosted a breakfast event in the City with Cllr Claire Holland, Leader of Lambeth and Chair of London Councils and Jules Pipe CBE, Deputy Mayor of London for Planning, Regeneration and the Fire Service
On Monday, 28th April, Concilio was delighted to host a Roundtable Breakfast, bringing together influential leaders in London’s built environment sector and senior policymakers to help shape the future of housing and infrastructure across the capital.
The discussion, hosted by Siddo Dwyer, Account Director at Concilio, featured Cllr Claire Holland, Leader of Lambeth Council and Chair of London Councils, and Jules Pipe CBE, Deputy Mayor for Planning, Regeneration and the Fire Service, centred around the urgent challenges of housing delivery, community-first planning, financial viability, and the role of strategic infrastructure in driving sustainable, inclusive growth.
Audience questions covered a wide range of topics, from tensions between private and public sector interests to viability challenges, the future of discount market homes, investment barriers, and the need for smarter use of Right to Buy receipts. Participants discussed the importance of strategic infrastructure investment, the role of Build to Rent and a diverse range of housing options, and the need for creative collaboration between the public and private sectors.
We at Concilio are excited to continue leading these important conversations, with further events planned soon.
